SIPA Best Practices Guide
In 2024, the Structural Insulated Panel Association released a best practices guide intended for design professionals. The guide was created in conjunction with manufacturing members of SIPA to help design professionals understand how to use and work with SIPs. Decades of knowledge from dozens of manufacturers were combined into this document to help design professionals leverage the best results when using SIPs. ACME Panel has been a proud member of SIPA since 2009 and is making this document available here in coordination with SIPA.
Using the Guide Effectively:
- For Architects and Designers: Learn about SIP dimensions, structural capabilities, and design considerations.
- For Builders: Follow detailed installation checklists and avoid common pitfalls.
- For Homeowners: Understand how SIPs improve energy efficiency, comfort, and long-term durability.
The guide includes checklists, actionable steps, and real-world examples, making it an indispensable resource.
